Practices receive a request and offer a time. Nothing is booked until the patient confirms one offer, so no practice is left holding a slot.
The Offload app. For anyone who needs a dentist soon.
Getting a dental appointment soon usually means ringing round, one practice at a time, during working hours. The Offload app does the ringing round for you, then tidies up after itself.
Need a dentist? Ask five at once. Book the first who answers.
Finding a dentist who can see you soon means ringing round, one practice at a time, often during working hours. The Offload app rings round for you: it finds practices open near you, asks several at once through their online booking, email or text, and books you with whichever offers a time first.
Every other practice is told straight away that you're sorted, so nobody holds a slot for you. Ireland first, then the UK and the US.

Say what you need
A broken tooth, a check-up or a consultation, and when you can go.
See who's open
Practices near you that are open now or soon.
Ask several at once
Up to five, through each practice's booking system, email or text.
Take the first offer
Confirm in one tap. Only then is anything booked.
The rest are released
Other practices are told at once. Any extra booking is cancelled for you.
Requests, not bookings. So there's almost nothing to cancel.
The moment the patient confirms, every other practice is told they're sorted. Where a practice booked directly through its online system, Offload cancels that extra booking straight away.
At most five practices per request, one open request per patient, and any practice can opt out.
Every email or text says it comes from the Offload app on the patient's behalf. Automated calls only to practices that have agreed to them.
Whatever the practice already uses.
| Channel | How it works | Order |
|---|---|---|
| Online booking | Where a practice takes bookings online, Offload checks real availability and books the slot the patient picks. | First |
| A clear request with a one-tap link to offer a time, no login needed. | First | |
| Text message | The same request by text, for practices that prefer it. | Next |
| PracticeOS Book | Practices on PracticeOS see requests in their diary and answer in one tap. | Next |
| AI phone call | Only for practices that opt in, and the caller always says it is automated. | Later |
Free for patients. Practices pay for a new patient, not for software.
Free
No account needed to send a request; an account to keep track of bookings and records.
Pay per new patient
A fee only when a new patient books through Offload. Responding is free, and so is listing.
Ireland, then the UK and US
Ireland first, where we can contact every practice ourselves. Then the UK, then the US, where per-booking marketplaces already exist.
The Offload app is planned and not yet available. No practices are signed up. Pricing is a hypothesis we will test. Offload does not give clinical advice; in a dental emergency, contact a dentist or emergency services directly.
By hand, before the app.
- 0 → 10
We do it ourselves
For the first ten patients, we contact the practices on their behalf by hand, watch where it breaks and ask each patient one question afterwards.
- 10 → 100
One channel, done loudly
Short videos showing the problem the app removes: an afternoon spent ringing round. One channel, not five.
- 100 → 1,000
The same, louder
Keep what worked, and only then build the parts that were done by hand.
Run a practice? Tell us how you take new patients. Start with one conversation.
We are talking to Irish practices about how new-patient requests reach them today, and what would make answering them easy.
